Sep 03, 2020 One of the coolest new features in Crusader Kings 3 is the ability to create a custom heresy of your parent religion (or reform into an organized faith if you’re starting as a tribal pagan). May 14, 2010 1. While playing press F12 on your keyboard 2. Open person profile view 3. In console window write cheat code: CHAREVENT 1085 4. Press enter and see how they accepting to change their religion. (.) Change the value to 1, then 2, and so on (in this way you will see what tech is available for each level) NOTE If you don't want to use the Super Ruler cheat, now you can change the values yourselves. Changing the Age of a Character - One year = 365 days. 24 hours = 8760 hours - Suppose Current is 15-Sep-1066 = 53144328.
A big part of Europa Universalis IV is the religion game mechanic. There are over 50 religions in the game, thankfully there are many console commands that you can use to change and modify the religions of countries, states and provinces easily. This guide shows you how to:
- Add Authority (to patriachs)
This guide assumes you know how to open and use the console in EU4, if you need help opening or using the console, see this page. Here are some links to pages that might come in handy when reading this guide:
How to Change the Religion of a Province with Cheats
To change the religion of a province, you must use the change religion command. This command's syntax is as follows:
change_religion [Province ID] [Religion ID]
Vce reader for mac. You'll need to replace [Province ID] with the ID of the province you wish to change the religion of. A province ID is simply a unique number that's assigned to each province in the game, Stockholm's is 1, Berlin's is 50, etc. To find out the ID of a particular province, search our province ID list.
The [Religion ID] field needs to be replaced with the ID of the religion you wish to change the province to. A religion ID is a short code that is unique to every religion, you can usually guess them - the Catholic religion's code is 'catholic', but some are impossible to guess, like the Slavic religion, which is 'slavic_pagan_reformed'. Guessable or not, you can find all religion codes on our religion code list.
Say you wanted to change the religion of London to Jewish. London has a province ID of '236', and Judaism has a religion code of 'jewish', the command would look like this:
change_religion 236 jewish
That's all there is to changing the religion of a province.
How to Change the Religion of States with Cheats
In Europa Universalis IV, there is no simple way to change the religion of a state. However, it is possible to do quickly with cheats by starting a religious rebellion.
To start a religious rebellion within a state, you will need to change the religion of 75% of the provinces within the state to your desired religion. You can do that with the change religion command, which is explained above (change province religion). Find the IDs of provinces on our province ID list.
![Ck2 How To Change Religion Cheat Ck2 How To Change Religion Cheat](https://i.redd.it/g7dwp8aa0zdz.png)
After making sure that 75% of the provinces within the state are of the religion you wish to switch to, you will need to wait for a religious rebellion to start. You can speed up the time it takes for a religious rebellion to start by reducing autonomy within each of the provinces using the add/remove autonomy command.
How to Change a Nation's Religion with Cheats
Changing the religion of a country is easy with cheats. It's done using the same command as you would use to change a province's religion - the change_religion command. Here's the syntax:
change_religion [Country Tag] [Religion ID]
You'll need to replace [Country Tag] with the country tag of the country you wish to change the religion of. Usually they're quite straight-forward, for example, Germany's country tag is GER, France's country tag is FRA, etc. Although most country tags can be guessed, some aren't - Wales' is WLS and Jeruasalem's is KOJ. If you aren't sure what a country's country tag is - see our country tag list, which has a neat search feature.
If you wanted to change the religion of Wales (country tag 'WLS') to Iconoclast (religion code 'iconoclast'), you'd use the following command:
change_religion WLS iconoclast
Adding Religious Authority
You can add patriach authority to your country with the add_pa command. This command adds 10% patriach authority to a country - you can't change the amount that is added unfortunately.
All you need to do is type 'add_pa' (without quotes) and the country tag of the country you wish to add religious authority to, separated by a space. The country tag of England is ENG. To add 10% patriach authority to England, you'd type:
add_pa ENG
See this page for a list of country tags.
That's all there is to this guide. You can find more commands on our console commands list.
Console commands are instructions to the game that players can use to cheat, experiment, or work around bugs.
Opening the console[edit]

List of commands[edit]
Below is a list of commands and any parameter they accept (in order, if more than one) with a description of what the command will do.
- For 'Character' scope, if none is given then it will default to the player (some commands excepted, such as age). Most targeted commands accept character ids as the optional 2nd parameter, notable exceptions are religion/culture which if the character id is added it must be the first parameter ('religion orthodox' or 'religion 555 orthodox'). If no parameters are listed then assume that it has a single optional character id parameter.
- For 'None' scope there is only one way to use it, for 'Global' scope it will toggle things globally, example: marry_anyone allows ALL characters to marry anyone.
- Character attributes (diplomacy, intrigue, etc.) normally range from 0-20. However, as the attributes are stored in signed bytes, it ranges from -128 to 127. Correspondingly, the maximum base value a character can achieve is 127. Nonetheless, upon loading a savegame, the base value will be reduced to 100 - if it was above this value.
- <Character ID> can be found by using the Charinfo function and hovering over the person's name.
- <Province ID> corresponds to the 'ID' number found in the chart of Counties.
- Replace spaces in parameter names with underscore (_).
- NOTE: ANY COMMAND BEGINNING WITH 'debug_' IS ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY DEVELOPERS—NOT BY PLAYERS.

Variables[edit]
- Character ID: Found using the 'charinfo' command. It is listed on with the usual mouse-over stats.
- Province ID: See provinces
- Title Name: For instance e_britannia. It is usually a predictable name with Empires starting with 'e', Kingdoms with 'k', Duchies with 'd', Counties with 'c', and baronies/bishoprics/cities/patrician house with 'b'. Some exceptions exist, such as Rome is c_roma, the Holy Roman Empire is e_hre, the duchy of the isles is d_western_isles, the county of Leon in Brittany is c_french_leon, and the bishopric of Tyddewi in Dyfed is b_st_davids. Refer to common/landed_titles/landed_titles.txt if you get stuck. Hovering over a title's flag shows you the name of the title, as long as you have charinfo active.
- Nickname: See nicknames, format is nick_the_xxx
- Trait Name: See traits
- Settlement Name: The in-game name for the holding in question, as specified by landed_titles.txt. For example b_paris. Titles with cultural names can be hard to guess. Search for those by county name if you get lost.
- Disease Name: One of the epidemic diseases
